Beaumont right fielder Chris Lacenaire contributed significantly to his team's 10-3 win over the Frisco Rams. Lacenaire, who is tied for 6th in the RAA in home runs with 11, went 2 for 4 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Drillers. Beaumont reliever Jamie Charles got the win, raising his record to 3-1. Cory Moore was tagged with the loss. The losing streak for Frisco has now reached 4 games.

Preston Ledoux had a big grand slam home run for the Drillers in the bottom of the second inning. With Beaumont leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Cory Moore and swatted a home run to left. It was his 9th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Drillers ahead, 7-0.

"It was a tough day, no getting around it," said losing manager Joe Renken.
