Vidal, Rams Too Much for Drillers
Spirited fans greeted the Beaumont Drillers for their clash with the Frisco Rams.

The Frisco Rams dumped the Beaumont Drillers, 16-14, in large part due to left fielder Ivan Vidal. On the day, Vidal went 1 for 2 with a home run, 3 walks, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for the Rams. Frisco pitcher Brendan Loos got the win. He's now 4-2. Alfonso Sorto was tagged with the loss.

Frisco used the timely hitting of Jorge Lozada to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rams ahead, 10-8. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was an important one.

Lozada told the Frisco Today: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."

The win elevated the Rams to 61-48.
