Kelowna Slaps 5-2 Loss on Shamrocks

At McCormick Field, the Pacifica Shamrocks and Kelowna Rockets were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Eric Thornton, who is tied for 6th in the RAA in strikeouts with 124, was locked in. The right-hander led the Kelowna Rockets to a 5-2 win against the Pacifica Shamrocks at McCormick Field. Picking up the save was Eric Lewis, his 6th.
Kelowna used the timely hitting of John Reed to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rockets ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"Eric did a good job keeping the game under control," said Kelowna manager Ch'ak'iso Chaga.
Kelowna is now 56-49, Pacifica 36-69.
