The Silicon Valley Hackers did just enough to secure a victory over the Frisco Rams, 5-4, in 10 innings at Outlander Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Pat Tracy. Silicon Valley reliever Ron Williams picked up the win to move to 7-6. Dan Thompson suffered the loss. Picking up the save was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Branden Severns.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Brock Poapst came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Frisco pitcher Dan Thompson, he hit a 1-2 changeup for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Silicon Valley on top, 5-4.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Frisco manager Joe Renken.

The first-place Hackers bumped their record to 82-53.
