Boston beat Silicon Valley at The Studio, escaping with a 5-4 win. The win in large part was due to shortstop Forrest Suggs. He went 2-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs. Boston pitcher Bill Larimore got the win. He's now 7-8. Brian Anderson was tagged with the loss. Chris Sarne was credited with the save for Boston, his 37th of the season.

With Boston trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Suggs hit a curveball from Brian Anderson for a 2-run double. It was his 14th double of the season and put the Whitecaps ahead, 2-1.

Boston manager T.J. Hall was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.

After today's action, Boston sits at 95-64; Silicon Valley slips to 98-61.
