"Jim was just locating so well and using his pitches," Moose Jaw manager Paul Johnston said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Metcalfe recorded 5 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Fraser Valley manager Albert Giles said in postgame comments to BNN.
